Shetland Sheepdog Placement Services of NJ was started in 1992 and has helped find forever homes for over 1000 shelties. Most of the shelties were fostered and then adopted, others may have been adopted directly from local shelters or worked out as an “owner to owner” adoption.
To add your adopted Sheltie to our Previous Adoptions please CONTACT us. Tell us little bit about your Sheltie and adoption experience and send photos along with your story.

Happy, happy Adoption Day to FRANKIE! FRANKIE was one of the Four From The Shore, who came to rescue a few months ago in really rough shape. With lots of love and great care, FRANKIE has turned into a healthy, happy, and CONFIDENT little guy. We are so very thrilled that he has such a wonderful home where he will completely spoiled – as it should be !

REX has been adopted.
Rex is a happy boy who likes meeting new friends. He is 2 years old, is playful and curious like a much younger dog. He has a new sister to play with and a new mom and dad to snuggle with on the couch. They love him already! He is built more like a border collie than a lab, he’s tall and leggy.
Rex is a smart, active boy who is going to a home that will appreciate his playful can-do attitude. He will have a doggie playmate and cuddle time with his new family. We wish Rex well in his new furever home.

ANDY has been adopted.
Andy found his furever home with a patient, kind and loving family. Andy came from our friends at the Edison Shelter. Andy was removed from his home due to horrible conditions, and was not treated very kindly by his owner.
In spite of all his issues, he is a funny dog and really playful with other dogs in the home. There is a sweet dog in there that we are seeing more and more of. He loves to run around with one of his toys in his mouth. loves praise, kind words, and pets.
